Mary was born in a town north of London in England. She was an activist for women's rights and privileges, and even started a school for girls to get equal education just like boys do and being in the same school. She wrote "The Vindication of the Rights of Women" in 1792 stating that men and women should have equal rights and education, the philosopher named Voltaire supported her ideas
