Protests against the shah erupted in 1905. Years of poor management and corruption, as well as concessions lead to Resentment erupting over the presence of foreigners and a string of droughts and food shortages. One of the first tasks of the Majlis was to write a constitution. In 1906, Iran’s first elections for the parliament were held. (1 gen 1906 anni – 1 gen 1911 anni)
