This boycott took place after the Rosa Parks incident where she wouldn't give up her spot on the bus to a white man and was arrested. Because of this, MLK organized rallies to support Rosa and they then boycotted the Montgomery public buses. The boycott lasted about a year and all black people had to walk everywhere.
