English mathematician who is known for his work in number theory and analysis. Hardy made important contributions to the study of the Riemann hypothesis and the theory of prime numbers, and he collaborated with Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan on several papers. One of his most famous formulas is Hardy-Littlewood conjecture, which states that the number of primes in a certain arithmetic progression follows a certain distribution.
