Lincoln dies soon after Civil War, but he had a plan for reconstruction in which he was extremely favorable to the south. It was called the 10% plan: Basically saying that only 10% of the people in the South need to accept freeing slaves and pledge to be loyal to the Us in order for them to be readmitted back to the Union
This was very favorable towards the south because he only required 10%. Lincoln only wanted to reunite the Union.
