From September 1, 1939, to October 6, 1939, Hitler decided to invade Poland which was the initiation of World War II. With a rush of refugees fleeing to Poland for support against Germany’s attacks, but with a rush of many bombings and shillings, Warsaw, the capital of Poland, surrendered to the Germans within a month. A majority of the eastern side of Poland was taken back by the Soviet forces while the Germans took and kept western Poland until 1945. Britain and France didn’t like Germany taking Poland so they declared war on Germany. This invasion primarily started the reinforcement camps where Jews would have to wear white armbands with a blue star of David and went into forced labor where they would have poor nutrition and be starved.
