Manasseh was the worst king Judah ever had. He set up Baal and Asherah poles, started worshiping the sun, moon, and stars. Set up alters to Baals in the temple, offered his own children to the false gods, believed in calling spirits back from the dead and murdered anyone who opposed him.

But the people did not listen. Manasseh led them astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the Lord had destroyed before the Israelites.
