- Factors that influenced development of industrialization: agricultural revolution (increase in population), new inventions (spinning Jenny, power loom, and steam engine), surplus of capital in England, gov't/parliament involvement, rea materials (coal/iron ore). This led to more transportation from the steam engine (railroads and steam boat).
- Spreading throughout the continent: spread first to Belgium, France and German states. Advocated to strengthen nations (Friedrich List in Germany).
- How innovations and advances in technology during the Industrial Revolution led to economic and social change: increased social class gap and awareness. Strengthened nationalism. Working class moved to factories and cities (urbanization). Rich got richer. Let to more mechanization and factory system (assembly line) with new industries (coal & iron, cotton industry & textiles). Products were cheaper and people could spend money on things that weren't basic necessities which was consumerism.
- The government helped companies along by issuing patents to the new products being created
