First Judaean Revolt (1 gen 66 anni – 1 gen 70 anni)
Descrizione:
The Judaean Revolt began in 70CE following the destruction of the Second Temple by the Romans. The revolt sought to regain control over Jerusalem from the Romans, however, the Romans were a superior military force. The Jews were chased out of Jerusalem into a stronghold at Masada. They were then pushed further back into a stronghold at Temple Mount as they were progressively overcome by the Romans. Josephus is known for being a key figure within the early revolt and later, after being captured and turned to the Roman side, for writing an account of the revolt.
