Roman Empire (1 gen 27 anni a. C. – 1 gen 476 anni)
Descrizione:
The Roman Empire began with Caesar Augustus who seized the power of his fellow consuls of the Second Triumvirate. He was a strong leader who built not only the size of Rome but also its public works and cities. Following him emperors such as Vespasian, Titus, and Trajan continued the work he had started. Other emperors were less successful. Nero was a tyrant who met his death in Rome's great fire.
Major accomplishments of the Roman Empire include road systems, architecture such as the Coliseum or Hadrian's Wall, making Christianity a world religion, and systems of governance for the massive empire.
