National Recovery Administration (NRA): government agency that established codes for businesses that set prices and work hours, banned child labor, and granted workers the right to organize.

National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) or Wagner Act: guaranteed the rights of workers to organize in unions (the right of collective bargaining) and set up the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to mediate disputes between unions and companies.

Security and Exchange Commission (SEC):government agency which regulates the stock market.

Social Security Act (SSA): a social safety net, provided financial benefits for retirees 65 or older, the unemployed, and the disabled.

Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA): created a federally funded corporation to modernize the energy, transportation, and other economic development resources of an impoverished part of the nation

Works Progress Administration (WPA): agency that helped create jobs for those that needed them. It created around 9 million jobs working on bridges, roads, buildings, and even projects for artists
