Dominance of Catholic Church in Europe (1 gen 1300 anni – 1 gen 1500 anni)

Descrizione:

Religious practices in medieval Europe were dominated by the Catholic Church. The majority of the population was what is now known as Christian but at the time was called "Catholic" as there was initially no other form of that religion.

The Medieval Catholic Church was extremely wealthy. Donations were given by many levels of society, mostly in the form of a tithe, which was a tax of around 10% of people’s earnings to the Church.

Medieval church history can be traced back from the Fall of Rome to the onset of the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century.
