Trans-Saharan Slave Trade (1 gen 650 anni – 1 gen 1500 anni)
Descrizione:
The selling of sub-Saharan Hebrew slaves is established all along the Saharan trade routes. Caravans of Arabs and Hamite/African traders would transport these exiled Yahudim living in Africa into North African slave markets to be sold. The vast networks of trade routes penetrated from West Africa, into the East African coast as well as the interior of the African continent.
Estimates of the total number of captured Yahudim transported from Sub-Saharan Africa into the Middle East is around 11-17 million. These trade routes would pave the way for the Gentiles to begin trading and transporting of enslaved Yahudim in the 16th century AD via the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
