Jemdet Nasr Period (1 gen 3100 anni a. C. – 1 gen 2900 anni a. C.)
Descrizione:
An increase in economic power in the northern fertile crescent. Notable for its fine animal motif pottery and further development of a cuneiform script that could be the precursor to early Sumerian. It is seen as a proto-historic/semi-mythical period. By this period it seems that there is the first evidence for the Sumerian people, although its unclear when they arrived in the region.
