The Zakrzówek is a popular place for people of all ages who want to relax from the Kraków city.
Zakrzówek seems to be most popular due to the lake located inside it, in which people may want to swim. Depending on the chosen way, it can be steep and somewhat dangerous, but easy ones usually also are available. An average person will have to trespass private property in order to get to the water.

The area is green, thus lots of people enjoy it in legal way. There are official tracks in the park and one can also have a beautiful scenery view on the lake.

There are other activities that are also popular:
- bicycling through the park
- bonfire picnic - this, to my understanding, is illegal.
- jumping to the lake from the rocks. This is dangerous and accidents happens frequently. Some are fatal.

There used to be the diving center but it has been closed in 2019. Various underwater attractions (sank on purpose) are still present for divers, such as a car or various boats.
To my understating, the reopening of this diving center is not confirmed, though there are some plans to make that happen.
The diving center was closed due to area ownership change to city property. That also started the building project, which should provide legal access to the lake for all people.

Other similar and popular areas in or near Kraków:
- Bagry
- Przylasek Rusiecki
Both of them lack rocks and don't have as great scenery as Zakrzówek. Thus, both are mainly used by people who want to enjoy their time by the water only. Both can be reached fully legal.
In case of Przylasek Rusiecki, it is also used by fishermen.
Bagry are closer to Zakrzówek, but often are overcrowded.
Przylasek Rusiecki may be too far for people living near Zakrzówek, so they may strongly prefer to stay at Zakrzówek.
