Glory of the Early Church "Apostolic Age" (29 magg 30 anni – 14 apr 70 anni)
Descrizione:
Born on the day known commonly as "Pentecost". Pentecost, which means "Fifty" in Greek, signifies it's purpose as the 50th day after the 49 day count from the Sunday after Pesach. The Hebrew name is Shavuot, which means "sevens".
The first few chapters of the Book of Acts are filled with the wonder and excitement of the vibrant life of love and sharing that resulted from the apostles’ first preaching of the Gospel.
The movement took off with a mighty rush of
wind, lifting its crew out of their hum-drum, earthly existence, and setting their eyes on their prophetic destination.
For several decades, the "plane" soared steadily on the wind of the Holy Spirit, gracefully navigating day and night through both clear skies and stormy clouds...
As the decades passed and the movement
grew, turbulence began to expose hidden flaws. Certain men had entered the movement with mixed motives. They had not truly surrendered their lives, putting to death their selfish desires. This critical flaw went undetected for years...
The Apostle Paul wrote many letters to the churches, warning them of the dangers he sensed were about to come upon them.
But through neglect of the clear instructions of the Designer, and urgent warnings of the Builders, the plane began to lose power, and ever so gradually it began to fall from the skies.
