HM was sent to oversee the construction of the secret Hobonien base located in the Galapagos islands, as part of King Leonidus' plan to establish a strong global presence in order to counter any possible future apocalyptic events. While he spent the first year in the mainland, he decided to take up residence in the partially constructed base when he became acquainted with the local settlers of a nearby island. Eventually conflict erupted when a man threatened to leak HM's secrets to the German government. Violence broke out, and he was beaten by his paramour (?) several times, going to live with the other couple on the island instead (on the condition he would abandon his threats). He did not, successfully leaking the plans and killing his ex and her lover. He was swiftly killed for it by HM.

It's strategic value having been somewhat compromised (and construction having been far more difficult than expected) work swiftly stopped on the base and it was converted into a suitably lavish living space for HM, who proceeded to take up residence there up until the outbreak of WW2.
