The First Great Awakening was a revival of traditional Christian values. Instead of being totally God-centered, however, part of the First Great Awakening was observation and appreciation of the natural world without faith. In addition, Protestant values were brought back and preachers would go about the country spreading their ideas to the American people. The First Great Awakening also brought along with it increased diversity in religion and the creation of Baptist, Lutheran, and Presbyterian Churches.
