1936-1939 great Palestinian revolt (1 gen 1936 anni – 1 gen 1939 anni)
Descrizione:
The revolts started because of resentment of British control and mass immigration of zionists. At its peak, more than 10,000 Palestinian rebels were a part of the fighting. The British suppressed the revolt harshly, sending over 100,000 troops to Palestine and by the end, 10% of the male adult Palestinians were injured, dead, imprisoned, or deported. The revolt was a disaster for Palestinians with achieving none of its goals, encouraging zionist-British cooperation, and left Palestinians without local leadership.
