Descrizione:
Right-wing opponents were largely people who had grown up in the successful days of the Kaiser's Germany. They deeply resented the treaty of Versailles and the restrictions placed on Germany's army and the losses of territory and industry. In March 1920 Dr Wolfgang Kapp led 5,000 Freikorps into Berlin in a rebellion
The army refused to fire on the Freikorps. However, it was saved industrial workers of Berlin. They declared a general strike which brought the capital to a halt with no transport, power, or water.
