Aesops Fables was a very early animation studio that produce silent cartoon. Paul Terry was a cartoonist that was part producer/owner of the studio at the time. Paul was credited for starting out with adaptations of written fables like the Goose that laid the golden egg in 1921, but as the series progressed throughout the next few years it started incorporation cats, mice, and a disgruntled farmer named Al Falfa ( a character from Paul Terry's earlier cartooning years) After selling his side of the company he retained his position as a produced and animated and created the second synchronised cartoon using the same sound to animation (Phonofilm) Dinner time was created. It wasn't very well received but still but using this technique the world was about to be stunned. Enter Disney with Steam boat Willy In1928.
