The war had turned against Germany, Italy, and Japan as well. There were many alliances but just not with them. On the other hand, the alliances carried carried the war to Italy, to a town called the "Soft Underbelly." Sicily fell and whoever ruled over them was assassinated by Germany. Sooner or later Germany was head of Italy. Germany set up defense lines against the allies, but they came over and took control of Rome. The allies had come so far and because of this was a man named General Dwight D. Eisenhower. Their strategy was to make a distraction that a real battle was happening while they were underground getting to the other side. Mostly the time German lost because allied forces were too strong and way too smart for them. Whenever the allied forces figured out about the death camps and elimination of the Jews, they were discussed. Allies set them free and Germany fleed. Hitler later on committed suidcide for his actions and knew if the U.S found him he would be put to death anyway.
