First Virginia Convention (1 agos 1774 anni – 31 agos 1774 anni)
Descrizione:
Representatives from all the colonies met in Williamsburg, Virginia. They adopted both nonimportation and nonexportation policies toward Britain, and elected delegates to the First Continental Congress. I understand that the British have been taxing us heavily, but imposing nonimportation and nonexportation would bottleneck colonial trade. It would make my business impossible, especially if Patriots begin producing all of their own goods. The Patriots need to stop overreacting, and should display more loyalty to their motherland. Otherwise, they’ll drag the colonies into economic ruin.
