Modern Queue Era (13 lugl 2021 anni – 18 dic 2022 anni)
Descrizione:
The Modern Queue Era began with the collapse of multiple monopolies and the rise of more dedicated fishers. Architect_Prime, who reached one hundred thousand fish becoming the fastest to do so on the first day of the Unity Generation, would become the face of the generation. The collapse of the spruce monopoly would mark the official end of Sky Sailors and the beginning of the groups that would be in the Queue Gang Wars.
The Queue Gang Wars was a larp war between Green Gang, led by EmeraldJaguar and Semommes, and Red Gang, led by Unukki. Both groups would try their best to spread their influence on queue by advertising their color in chat and giving out dyes and armor representing their color. The Gang Wars would span for the entirety of the Unity Generation and would end shortly after the Unity Generation.
The Unity Generation is known for having the most stable and least toxic community. After demonopolizing spruce wood, the community would move onto lime dye. Architect_Prime, who led the movement against dethroning monopolies, would pay EmeraldJaguar 1500 iron nuggets to buy a sea pickle and coral block. He would then spread sea pickles around for other players to use for themselves.
Despite the stable community, very little actually happened during the Unity Generation. Aside from the Warden Events and Queue Fight Club tournaments, the only significant events during this time period were Corrible_Hunt becoming the first player to hit two hundred thousand fish, a gambling discord called the Queue Casino being created, and players discovering the acacia wood exploit. The Unity Generation would then abruptly end with one event.
On September 2, 2021, I8mydog would be marked as a scammer on Master Baiters. I8mydog had the most trades and was a trade moderator when he was marked as a scammer. This event caused lots of controversy and would be the first of many events that would cause a lot of drama within the community. QDP, a troll group, would also be formed during this time. They would begin doing their tax troll, where they would harass players to pay them taxes for fishing, and abusing the trade exploit, where they would use the item stacking plugin to steal from players who were trading in the trading room. They would also lead the movement in voicing their opinion on the next two controversial events.
Unukki became the next Master Baiters trade moderator to fall. On September 12, 2021, Unukki was banned from Master Baiters after doxxing DepressedDonut_ while trying to defend himself from grooming allegations. The grooming allegations caused Red Gang to decline ending the Queue Gang Wars. Less than two weeks after Unukki was banned from Master Baiters, meepella would be demoted from the trade moderator position after rumors of him sharing nudes of a minor. Over the next month, QDP would mention the meepella incident which spurred discussion causing meepella to accidentally confirm the rumors which would get him banned from Master Baiters and Purity Vanilla as a whole.
QDP would eventually disband after buying their plot and building a cock on it. However, several of their members would continue to troll on the queue server and Master Baiters.
Some minor events during the Drama Era include the removal of Snakob from Cookie Island and the addition of a few parkours and islands.
The final event of the Drama Era would be the demotion of Tiger_Try from Master Baiters trade moderator. Tiger_Try gave himself a role that allowed him to talk in other players' shops. Tiger_Try's demotion would mark the end of the Drama Era.
During the Drama Era, many players from the Unity Generation would take a break from queue or leave altogether. Along with the most drama queue had ever seen in a month timespan, the community became fragmented, causing queue to fall into the Fourth Queue Death.
The Fourth Queue Death began after Tiger_Try's demotion from trade moderator on Master Baiters. This queue death would conclude the consistency of the Warden Events which would no longer be weekly after its tenth event and Queue Fight Club tournaments with the Halloween Tournament being the final tournament of 2021. Boone also became less active during this time which motivated players to create a second iteration of Anti-Anvil Army called Anti-Anvil Army 2.0. Anti-Anvil Army 2.0 would last three days after destroying almost all anvils on queue disbanding after Boone logged on replacing the anvils. The Warden Wall built by Atromis would be added as a permanent build on queue commemorating the tenth Warden Event before being replaced by Warden Island on February 20, 2022. The Fourth Queue Death also featured the first monthly queue montage by saet_ which would be a staple of the Dormant Generation. After the 1.18 update, a new group of players became active on queue creating the Dormant Generation.
The Dormant Generation began as a result of players waiting for the 1.18 update to Purity Vanilla by playing on the queue server. This generation is known for its grindy but silent players. Many players would accumulate wealth as quickly as the Unity Generation; however, the Dormant Generation would maintain more longevity than the Unity Generation. Fewer events were created by the community in this generation, with saet_'s YouTube videos being the highlight of community creations.
Many of the events during this time period were created by staff members or players who would become staff members. Two gambling locations, Fishy Frank's and Frank's Casino, were added to queue being built by ohmymoogle. Along with a couple new official builds and parkours, the first diamond tools were publicly added to queue with a diamond pickaxe being offered in the weekly shop for one thousand iron nuggets as part of the Christmas sale. Carrots were offered in the New Year's sale for five hundred iron nuggets, and diamond shovels was offered for seven hundred iron nuggets on March 21, 2022. I8mydog, a player who had been a player of the queue community since July 2020, became a moderator on Purity Vanilla and assisted Boone with queue operations. However, despite increased activity by the Purity Vanilla staff team towards queue overall, Boone's activity decreased.
During the Dormant Generation, charzaruni discovered a string dupe that caused Boone to disable building perms on queue until the dupe was patched a week later. As a result of the dupe, the string offer was removed from the weekly shop, and Kronobolt lost perms to all his plots and was banned for abusing the string dupe.
saet_ became the face of the Dormant Generation due to him being the first queue YouTuber. His videos highlighted fun moments on and about queue to the rest of the Purity Vanilla community. Some of his videos include his monthly montages, his video on the twelfth Queue Fight Club tournament, and his two videos on the 100k Wall. The 100k Wall was added as a way to honor those that reached one hundred thousand fish and was built by hot_mario, StuckChicken, alexthebore, Flexxita, JuliasDreaming, saet_, Sans6525, Sharp5s, Antonio_le_Coq, and Oranges09. It was built on the south side of parkour spawn and became a hall of fame for queue. The 100k Wall also began the Queue Friends Generation as it solidified the members of the community in the next generation of players.
The Queue Friends Generation was a time where queue prospered with the assistance of other staff members like ercercerc and Emcee as Boone's activity continued to decline. The community continued to actively participate with Warden Island being added to queue as a build from Sans6525, wrestlerguy65 hosting a note block music competition, and a wedding being held between WumbologyClass and RoZCactus. New content was also getting added to queue with diamond shovels and spyglasses appearing in weekly shop, queue updating to 1.18.2, and multiple islands and shops getting added to queue. Of the shops that were added during this time period the biggest shop that was added was the trident shop.
The IJN Ryunosuke was a build made by Emcee added to queue on September 3, 2022. A few days after it was added, a maze was created with an offer to purchase a trident for 5000 queue dollars at the end of the maze. The maze took over 10 minutes to complete and required multiple fire resistance potions to complete, becoming the most brutal maze queue had ever seen. This shop made tridents the most expensive shop on queue, with only 2 players to ever purchase a trident to this day.
The trident shop was the beginning of a push to give players more ways to spend their money, as players had been hoarding nuggets with very few items to spend those items on. The next addition to follow was the auction house. With code provided by N4x, I8mydog was able to run auctions via a discord bot to auction off badminned items into the community. This gave players something they could constantly work towards getting money for as a new item could be purchased every 3 weeks. Despite these new additions to queue however, not all would be good on queue.
On March 31, 2022, Tiger_Try and DarkLordZero would publicly post messages from MB staff channels. This would spurt an investigation that would last almost 5 months. During this time, the leaking would continue to happen creating more tension within the MB staff team. Tensions raised so high that I8mydog, a mod in MB at the time, created an alternative queue discord in order to spur admin activity. Sharp5s would quit the next day, and I8mydog would be demoted briefly. However, as a result of the alternate discord server that was created, Flubbernuggets offered to give I8mydog ownership of MB. This promise would not be fully fulfilled until there were several more months of arguing and fighting within the staff team which continued the conflict. Flubbernuggets would also go inactive for 3 months causing many players to lose hope in MB as a server. Flubbernuggets would eventually return on July 30, 2022, and give I8mydog a role giving him access to manage the other admins. He would then transfer full ownership on August 23, 2022.
Along with the MB drama, there was also a large queue build that the community had been working on which would sell players a trident as one of its shop offers. When the build was offered to the staff team, the players that made the build got radio silence. Eventually, Moogle would deny the build due to badmin farmables being hidden within the build, but the silence from the staff team lessened community morale.
Over time, Boone would become so inactive to the point where weekly shop rotations would appear monthly, and ercercerc was losing support within the community with his management of queue duties. When Purity updated to 1.19.2, it caused queue's activity to decline enough to put it into the Fifth Queue Death.
During the Fifth Queue Death, lack of staff activity would become a major theme of the time period. Boone would create the last weekly rotation of queue on October 5, 2022 for the next two months, and ercercerc would log on for the last time on October 12, 2022, only to disappear suddenly. This caused queue to spiral to its most inactive period yet, as players who were starting to play on queue were unable to gain access to major features of queue like plots, Fishing Union, and storage barrels. Current players saw the lack of staff activity and were beginning to lose hope to the point of quitting the server. Eventually, only the few most dedicated players would continue to play. hEXE_82 was one of those players becoming the first player to reach 500k fish. saet_ and JuliasDreaming would each make a video poking fun at some of the stereotypes of queue and its players, but after those videos, the server would lay dormant until December 18, 2022.
On December 18, 2022, Moogle would gain access to worldguard permissions allowing her to give other players perms to areas. This change jubilated the community and revived the queue server from the worst slumber it had ever seen. However, this marked the end of the Modern Queue Era as Boone was officially no longer the main player responsible for giving players permissions to areas on queue. Moogle's access to worldguard permissions sprang queue into the Restoration Era as queue would get a wave of new content following this change.
