Benito Mussolini was the fascist dictator of Italy during WWII. Originally, he was a revolutionary socialist, but he turned into a fascist leader, and he allied himself with Hitler. He relied Hitler to keep himself in power, but when Hitler was defeated, so was Mussolini, and Mussolini was executed in 1945.
