Of course this made the timeline as it is the most well known plague. The Black Death was caused by the bubonic plague and killed 75 to 200 million people during it's run. While there's no solid proof of what caused it the main theory is that the disease started in China, then sailors brought it back with them. The spread of the disease was mainly due to fleas that lived on rats, allowing the disease to be more easily spread. It was also transferred by bodily fluids. The disease cause black boils to appear on the persons body that where filled with pus and blood killing in days. The plague eventually burned itself out but no official cause has produced itself as to why it disappeared. Although the disease has never completely disappeared it is now exceedingly rare to get it.
