Beginning on June 25, 1950, and ending on July 27, 1953, the Korean War was a civil war between the U.S. supported South and the Soviet Union supported North. The war broadcasted the differences in ideologies of government between two "nations." The war ended where it began but included millions of deaths. The 38th parallel divides the Korean Peninsula to this day.
