Label it Cotton Gin 1793 (4 gen 1793 anni – 14 marzo 1794 anni)
Descrizione:
Eli Whitney invented this simple machine in 1793 to mechanize the production of cotton lint. The invention received a patent on March 14, 1794. The gin was a strong asset to the American economy at the time.
The small gins were operated by hand, while the larger ones were powered by horses or by water mills.
Over time, ginners were refined to improve the process of separating the cotton fiber. The machines were getting older and more complex, including progressive mechanization and automation.
Currently the ginners are complete machinery plants that carry out a much more complex process to separate the cotton threads from the rest of the harvested plant, including other machines to remove the resulting waste and package the raw cotton in bales that are easier to transport.
