Frida would create this painting as a wedding present. This portray Diego and Frida holding hands. Her mother would called it as a marriage between an elephant and a dove. This name was due to the size difference of Diego who was huge and Frida who was petite. This painting is estimated to have been painted in the year 1931. This artwork would be featured in the Sixth Annual Exhibition Of The San Francisco Society Of Women Artist In The Palace Of Legions of Honor.
