Roman period (1 gen 43 anni a. C. – 1 gen 410 anni)
Descrizione:
When the Romans arrived in 43 AD Britain was already a land of many cultures and languages, having already been shaped by thousands of years of migration. The Roman soldiers and settlers came from all over Rome's empire. This led to Britain becoming an even more diverse society. When Britain became part of the Roman Empire, the island and its inhabitants were integrated into the wider Roman world. This increased the possibilities for migration to and from the newly established province.
