Woodrow Wilson was in office during a huge part of world history. He lead America through world war 1, which devastated Europe. He entered the war right at the end as Britain was a large economic partner and needed help. However Wilson did not like war, he was a huge advocate for democracy and world peace. He tried to stay out of the war for as long as possible. Then at then end of the war he constructed a set of guide lines he thought were necessary for world peace called Wilsons 14 points.
