Dmitri Mendeleev (1 gen 1834 anni – 1 gen 1907 anni)
Descrizione:
Dmitri Mendeleev (1834-1907) was a Russian chemist that created the first periodic table (1869). He wished to organize the elements so prevalent in chemistry in a more precise manner, but couldn't think of how to do it. At the time, 64 elements were known, and he put all 64 on separate playing cards and wrote down each's properties on the cards. He then (claiming his subconscious had solved the problem for him) was inspired to organize the elements based on their increasing atomic weights.
