Warring Tribes Period (1 gen 1150 anni a. C. – 1 gen 884 anni a. C.)
Descrizione:
The various Israelite tribes and Canaanite tribes in the Land of Israel after the end of Egyptian rule. Israelite identity was slowly taking shape, in the form of the various Tribes of Israel. These tribes did not form a united political entity, but each was independent.
This corresponds to the era of the Judges described in the Tanakh, and to the archaeological era Iron Age I.
Biblical songs like the Song of the Sea and Song of Deborah likely date to this time period.
It is worth noting that the United Monarchy cannot currently be historically verified, although King David may have existed as a tribal leader and his name was later associated with the Kingdom of Judah. Other early kings of the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah described in the Tanakh may also have some as yet unverified historical counterpart in this time period.
