Kingdom of Israel (Omride) (1 gen 884 anni a. C. – 1 gen 722 anni a. C.)
Descrizione:
King Omri is likely the first historic king to have united all the Israelite tribes into a single kingdom.
Several kings of Israel are documented in non-biblical sources contemporary to the events being described, such as King Yehoram on the Tel Dan Stele and King Yehu on the Assyrian Black Obelisk.
The kingdom was centered on Shomron.
This corresponds to the Kingdom of Israel in the Tanakh, and to the archaeological era Iron Age II.
This kingdom was destroyed by the Assyrian empire, which Assyrian sources document.
