The 1911 revolution, was a revolution started by revolutionist in south China against the Qing Dynasty. The revolution lasted about four months from October 1911 to February 1912. As a result, imperial rule in China was ceased and the Republic of China took its place. The Japanese took advantage of the opportunity, to annex Korea and extend their influence into China.
