Stalin begins taking over power in the Soviet Union and the Communist party. (21 gen 1924 anni – 1 gen 1928 anni)

After Lenin his death Stalin wanted to become the next absolute ruler, but there were a few obstacles in his path that were holding him back. One of these obstacles was Trotsky, someone who also wanted to take over power. Stalin saw him as the main problem, but managed to exile him and eventually had Trotsky assassinated. Stalin also forced KULAKS to work in KOLKHOZ. This would cause more food production and thus leave more people free to work in factories for example. Which is exactly what Stalin wanted, since the Soviet Union was behind in the industrialization and if he wanted to become a super power he needed to catch up, quickly. Thus Stalin made the first five-year plan to accomplish this goal. It was a highly optimistic plan that although did not completely reach the goals set, still accomplished a lot for the Soviet Union although also causing some protesting and resistance against the government. Stalin's way of ruling was called STALINISM and is famous for it's extreme suppresion and the worshipping of it's leader: Stalin.
