Descrizione:

Jackson was elected President in 1828, after he and his supporters had been named the Democratic Party. His ideals were known as Jacksonian democracy, and one of the major issues that he focused on as making sure that the common people who weren’t as wealthy could participate in government and he did this through the spoils system. He also supported the Indian Removal Act which led to the Trail of Tears and the harsh treatment of many Native Americans.
