First named Secret Society, Sky Sailors was created on June 16 to combine queue knowledge and glitches, for use in nefarious plans. The first members were Psychedelic_Poro, _DarkVictor_, Energycorex2, TueJei and Flubbernuggets, with their first plan in mind to reach Cookie Island in order to get unobtainable items for normal queue players.

With a ton of unsuccessful attempts, _DarkVictor_ was eventually able to blockglitch to Cookie Island using a technique where if a player's Wi-Fi turns off for 10 to 20 seconds and then turns back on and the player places blocks, the blocks would permanently stay on the clent side which would allow the player to repeat the glitch to allow _DarkVictor_ to get to an unprotected area. _DarkVictor_ figured that the island was set so that only GoldenCookie420 could interact with it (with the exception of 5 diamond ore). However, he learned on the way that the worldguard protection wasn't endless, because he accidentally placed blocks outside of it.

This realization gave the group some ideas, one of them being to make a secret base hundreds of blocks away. In order to do so, Dark bridged around the entire worldguard in order to map it and find the best spot to escape. It turned out Jungle Island had a only 2 block gap between the edge of the island and the end of the worldguard, making it the ideal spot to create a base.

The group's first plan was to set their spawnpoint on their secret base so they would suicide to respawn there and drop in the void to return back to spawn. This theory did not work out because you would respawn at spawn. Instead, they built a permanent bridge 128 blocks away from jungle island, made out of chests that only rendered 64 blocks away from the player, making it almost impossible to see, however they had to beat orange parkour as well as bridge 128 blocks every time they wanted to reach their base. On the process of making the bridge _DarkVictor_ was caught by a player named Thib_, inviting him as a new member of the group, so it would stay secret. The chest bridge that was used can still be seen today.

On July 1st, Sky Sailors officially established a base 800 blocks away, a single dirt block and a sapling. They were able to get water by filling a cauldron with water bottles and emptying it with a bucket. They also found a stone island out of the worldguard that _DarkVictor_ mined when bridging around the worldguard. Farming wood was very inconvenient with a single dirt block, but Thib managed to convince Boone to sell mycelium in the Queue Server Shop as a weekly offer. This allowed the group to get several stacks of dirt very quickly. They were also able to get grass by borrowing EmeraldJaguar's single grass block (which allowed them to also get bee nests and flowers) and began to spread it.

Wood was not only a way to get a whole new variety of item but also a very powerful money source. At this time, you could sell 25 bowls for 1 queue dollar at the Queue Server Shop. The group built a massive tree farm in order to optimize their money income and quickly became the richest players on queue, especially _DarkVictor_, TueJei and Thib_.
_DarkVictor_ also built at this time the iconic pirate boat that led the group to be renamed Sky Sailors.

Sadly, the dream ended on the July 7 when Dark was surprised to discover the chest bridge cut in half by the worldborder. The members made a little outpost on the edge of the border, but few days later, Boone extended the world guard to the entire map, making any escape impossible. Realizing that there was no way to proceed in secret, on July 12, Sly Sailors finally revealed their base to the queue server, leading Boone to copy their island to a location near the main queue island, thus becoming the second official player island on the queue server.

Despite having their island moved, Sky Sailors continued to sell bowls. They then realized that with the money they had from bowl trading, SS could buy every single mending book on queue and inflate the price of mending, the best enchanted book on queue leading them to reconsider how they would spend their illegal money.

On July 20, StrongmanWalter got wind of this exploit and told Boone about the bowl exploit. The bowl trade was removed from the shop the next day and the richest members were severely taxed on their decision. StrongmanWalter was also added into Skyborn before being banned for autofishing a few days later.

This era became known as the Sky Sailors Era because it was the period of time where Sky Sailors was in its prime and making the most money off the bowl exploits. This era is also known as the Bowl Era because Sky Sailors used bowls to farm queue nugs. Bowls have since become a meme item, being the item collected during the Bowlist Revolution, having a fake queue shop offer for bowls, having an offer in Mian's Convenience Store at 5 bowls for 1 nug, and even having an island named after it, Bowl Island, being the destination of Ice Parkour.

Sky Sailors has continued to upgrade their island since the bowl exploits. They had been anticipating a player island upgrade to build a new island. However, instead of an upgrade to their island, Richfag Town was released, allowing Queue Town owners to buy an increased volume of land for their plot. Since the bowl exploit, Sky Sailors has added several members to their group. However, many Sky Sailors member have stopped playing queue since the bowl exploit, making Sky Sailors a shell of what it once was.
