The house of Medici included Giovanni de’ Medici or his original name, Lodovico. He belonged to the smaller branch of the Medici. His father was Giovanni, the son of Pierfrancesco, and he was the son of Lorenzo. The Medicis were a family based group in Florence. They were an Italian banking family during the first half of the 15th century.
