The Constitutional Convention took place from May 25th to September 17th, 1787 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The intention of the event was to decide how America was going to be governed. Although the Convention had originally been called to revise the existing Articles of Confederation, many wanted changed. Some wanted to create a new government, while some wanted to preside over the Convention. The result of the Constitutional Convention was the creation of the Constitution of the United States, which places the Convention among one of the most significant events in the history of the United States.
