On the 2nd of November, 1932, Major G. P. W. and Sir George Pearce declared war on the Emus because they were destroying Australia's crops. They soon set out to war. On the 8th of November, 1932, The Emu War was over after 6 days. 986 out of an estimated 20,000 emus were killed and they used up 9,860 bullets.
