The Great depression began as a result of many problems. The government tried to correct prices and stocks in the economy. Inflation lowered the value of the U.S. monetary system. And the dustbowl, which was a result of a lack of topsoil. when the government raised the price of corn, so farmers tilled up too much land.

All this caused millions across the world, to lose their jobs, and all their possessions. This bear market lasted until the end of WW2.
