World war I, as stated in its name, was the first global war to take place. Also known as the Great War, it started on July 28th, 1914 and lasted until November 11th, 1918, a span of four years. During the conflict, The central powers, which consists of Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, turkey, and the Ottoman Empire, fought against the allied powers, Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan, and the United States of America. It ended the defeat of the Central Powers and victory of the Allied powers.
