-There is the gang of four whos was run by Mao’s widow
-The group of four wanted to contiue the cultural revolution
-The moderates won control and they put the group of four on trial and gave them a life secntece.
-China began imorting technolgy from the west
-The was a group called the new direction
-The new direction engouraged many chinese to speak out. Some called for a “fifth modernization” democracy.
