They did this to help them recover against losses and other military campaigns. n early October they officially joined the war. The Ottoman army managed to beat Britain in a few key battles in 1915. However, Britain managed to bounce back and defeat the ottoman empire. This allowed Britain to become the dominent force of the Middle East. Middle East in World War I is important because it changed who rules many places in the Middle East.
