The spread of Islam in Indonesia indicates a Muslim population in the beginning of 1200 BCE.The northern tip of Sumatra had trades and exposures to the Islamic kingdom in Malay.
Further spread of Islam was attributed to the nine apostles of Islam in Java called Wali Sanga. Java was prodominantly Hinduism-Budhism culture from Majapahit era.
