- Curiosidades:
+ Tenía un hermano más joven llamado Harald que fue un matemático de prestigio y que llegó a jugar con la selección danesa de fútbol.
+ Su cuarto hijo, Aage Niels Bohr, también ganó el Premio Nobel de Física (en 1975).
