1931: He received his first Ph.D. in psychology from Harvard University.
1938: He Published his book “The Behavior of Organisms” based on his results and theories on operant conditioning. His work was similar to Pavlov’s but he was more focused on the response of the environment rather than responses to stimuli.
1948: Skinner conducted the “Skinner box” experiment in order to understand operant conditioning, he had put a rat in the box and it had a bar that gave the rat some form of reinforcement. He was studying the response rates based on what happened when they pressed the bar. Besides “The Behavior of Organisms” His most Notable Work would be “Walden Two” Which explained a Utopian society based on a system of rewards and punishments.
1971: He contributed to Behaviorism in relation to society with his books Beyond Freedom and Human Dignity
