Between 1742 and 1768, Mexico again was left in a state of no periodicals, however they had “calendarios” which contained journalist attributes. These calendars were published at the beginning of the year and almost served as a “country report” for the year. It contained news from the military, stats and notices of marriages, deaths and illnesses, arrivals and departures and news and announcements concerning the royal lottery. The report continued on beyond 1768, but byt hat point was accompanied by periodicals.
