Magnus II Eriksson was one of the first and most influential Kings of Sweden. He introduced the first national law code in 1350. The national law code gave Sweden more structure as a kingdom. Magnus arranged the marriage of his son to daughter of the King of Denmark. This marriage planted the seed for the eventual formation of the Kalmar Union.
